A guide to your wedding photos

How do we work?

We have put lots of effort into streamlining everything so that you can focus on your big day. Here is our blow by blow of how we work

Booking the wedding photography

You make an enquiry

Tony will make contact with you by email and answer and questions on your enquiry contact form. He will ask for a meeting either in person (preferable) or by phone/zoom. This is just more efficient than endless emails.

We send a quote

We will send you a quote, either our standard quote or one specific to your needs, you do NOT need to choose one of our standard quotes. They are there to act as a starting point, though they are often what people choose. the quote typically has a few options to choose from and it shows our payment terms etc.

The Client Portal

This email also contains a link to your personal client portal.

Here you can view everything related to your booking such as the venue location, your details, your quote, booking agreement, your contract, your questionnaire and open the link to your image gallery.

You book a wedding

If you are happy and want to go ahead, you just click the option you want and agree to the booking.

Sign the contract

Then you agree to the contract. Once that is done you will be sent an invoice for the deposit.

Pay your deposit

You can pay that via internet banking or with a card. We use Stripe for secure online card payment.

The client portal will also have a link to your images later on.

Before the big day

The Questionnaire

You’ll be sent a questionnaire that lets us grab all the handy info like where and where and who is getting married.

Wedding planning meeting

This can be in person or via the phone / zoom. We want a run sheet for the day and we will use this to help keep you on schedule.

Shot List

We will help you prepare a list of important images that you want us to catch like Mum and the Bride or Great aunt Sally who has come from overseas.

The practice shoot

About a month before your wedding, we do a practice shoot. We will give you a link to a YouTube video with some poses to practice. These are just a safety net for the big day. Everyone is full of nervous energy on the day so a little preparation can really help. We are very experienced at posing people and will take great care of you. Sure, you might feel a little awkward at first (especially the guys) but that’s OK, this is what we do, and we promise it really isn’t that bad.

These images are edited and shared as an online gallery available in your client portal.

The Big Day is finally here

We will be there early, that’s just how we roll. We want to walk the routes and look at the light etc. and make sure we are ready to rock when you are.

A typical wedding is something like

Bridal preparation (optional)

We come along and shoot some pics of people getting ready, dress in the window and men putting on suits etc

The ceremony

We try to be low key here, but we have a job to do so we walk in places that guests might not.

Signing of the registry

We will try and slow things down to capture this moment, but we will discuss this in advance

Group shots

We ask you to nominate someone to wrangle the family and friends while we take the pictures

The couple shoot

It’s common for the couple to head off for 60-90 mins or photography with us. This is flexible based on what you want.

The reception

We shoot

  • Speeches

  • Cutting of the cake

  • Party time

We will try to blend into the background and just catch as many of those special moments as possible.

Picture delivery

Next up we edit and deliver your images as quickly as possible. We get it, you’ll be excited and want to see them as soon as possible. Usually, we share a couple of quick edits the next day, so you have something, but great things take time. We proudly edit all our images individually and we DO NOT use AI automated edits. We will edit all of them in colour and then make a copy of them and re-edit for black and white. That takes time, especially when it’s 100’s of images.

When they are ready, we share them to a gallery available in your client portal and we will let you know they are ready. You can mark favourites and you can choose to download them individually or as a zip file. You can even share the gallery with family and friends.
