Janine and Kyle
This wedding was an absolute joy to photograph. I met the girls around midday and spent the early part of the afternoon with them while hair and makeup were underway—capturing moments as we went, sharing a few laughs, and easing into the rhythm of the day. Janine was one of those wonderfully relaxed brides who simply soaked it all in, enjoying every moment without a hint of stress.
The lads, on the other hand, were looking a little worse for wear 😉 so I let them crack on with their preparations in peace!
The ceremony and reception were held in their neighbour / landlord’s gardens, and honestly—what a spot. Imagine having a bona fide wedding venue right outside your door! Kyle is a huge car enthusiast, so there were some very cool cars on display and plenty of car-related stories woven into the speeches. The laughter never stopped, and that easy, joyful energy carried through the entire day. It truly felt like being welcomed into the family; I wasn’t just the photographer, I felt like one of the friends.
Janine had clearly put a huge amount of thought and heart into planning the day. Every detail was beautifully executed, and I genuinely can’t imagine how she could have improved on it. The styling, the atmosphere, the flow of the day—it was all spot on.
In the evening, I set up for portraits—this time outside in the dark, which was a fun new twist for me. At one point I had an actual queue of eager guests waiting their turn… no coaxing required! It was a long day, but I left tired, happy, and grateful to have captured such a memorable celebration.
